I'm dabling with the idea of picking up a first gen 89+ dodge cummins as my first tow rig for the ramcharger. Anyone have any experience with these trucks?

Will the 190hp/420tq be sufficient to pull my 6k lb rig?

Nope, no one had them.  I ordered them from rockauto.com.  Each kit was about 11 bucks

Nice write up, when I had my d60 apart a few months ago those bearings were shot.  Did you just get the bearing /seal kit at a local auto parts store?

I needed some new seals, and the kit with the bearing was not much more, so I decided to overhaul my D60 spindles.  I would imagine a d44 is similar.

Special tools needed:
Slide hammer
Press

Strip down your outer and remove your spindle

Spindle and the new kit.  It includes the two seals and one bearing

Set spindle in vise and use a slide hammer to pull the old bearing out
(it has hard to do this and take a picture)

Press in the new bearing until it bottoms out.  Arbor press worked fine, it could even be tapped in with a hammer

Install seals onto the axleshaft and in spindle (as shown).  Lubricate bearing with some axle grease.

Reinstall and you're done!
